New Zealand-born Tim Brown was no stranger to the magical qualities of merino wool. Always curious, he began to ask himself why such an amazing and sustainable material was missing from the footwear industry. And so began the journey of Allbirds.
After years of research and experimentation, Tim teamed up with engineer and recycled materials expert Joey Zwillinger. Together, they created a revolutionary wool material for footwear. The result was a new kind of shoe inspired by nature, and the belief in producing better products in better ways became a core value of the company.
